WEBSITE RE-LAUNCH - MTC
Namibia’s leading cellular provider completely redesigned and updated their website. Entirely in HTML5, a first for Namibia. 100% cyan blue is the brands main colour. A primary constant used on all communication. We chose a Monday to launch the new website. The ‘Monday blues’ was our inspiration. Every paper in the country announced a new website had arrived on a Monday morning. It announced that Monday had a new blue and led everyone to mondaysnewblue.com.na. A domain we registered especially for the campaign. People were greeted all around the city by blue people announcing the new site with huge QR codes, web pointers and the address mondaysnewblue.com.na. None of the material contained the clients, MTC’s, actual logo - so no one knew what is was about. When people went to the site they were greeted with ‘OUT WITH THE BLUES, IN WITH THE BLUE’ for a few seconds before being automatically redirected to MTC’s brand new website.

Conceptualise and create a concert and tree lighting ceremony, free for the public, that is streamed live via a custom microsite to the rest of the world. Build the tallest and most spectacular LED Christmas tree Namibia has ever seen. Compose and produce an original song/track using amazing local artists and an awesome studio in Cape Town. Perform it live with a host of local acts and talent and you have ‘The Spectacular Tree Lighting Event’.

The Namib Desert is quite a well-known part of Namibia and most people know quite a bit about it. Most however, don’t know the most fascinating aspects of it. It was this insight that inspired the design. We wanted to showcase the desert in a way it has never been seen before. A place you would want to be. A place that is as beautiful as it is unique.

A ‘sleepy’ city, still on a slower internet connection, is amazingly brought to life with the explosive arrival of our Netman 4G superhero. He brings 4G internet, for the very first time to the city. The pace of life and internet speed as we know it is about to change drastically. Everything is now faster.

Namibia’s leading cellphone provider, briefed us on their regular their Annual Report. We offered them a digital only solution, as printing them, we thought, did not reflect their technologically advanced services. The answer was an interactive micro-site developed entirely in HTML 5, so that it could be viewed on Smart Phones and iPads. The design, a futuristic blueprint of Windhoek’s business district that reflects MTC’s goal of always providing Namibia with the most advanced cellular and internet technology.
